This is a bit of an odd product driven by the desire to switch off the headlight washers on the 940 Series Giuliettas automatically when the weather turned to prevent the washer jets from attempting to spray frozen fluid. There isn’t a nice way to do it on them, so aside from manually pulling the fuse it was decided to tackle the problem further downstream by enabling or disabling the relay based on a sensed temperature. Even though they were designed for Alfas, they fit the standard Micro Relay format and are therefore compatible with all car or motorcycle brands.

These will only replace 4-pin N/O (normally open) micro automotive relays rated up to 14VDC. The N/C pin is not present, so will not function for N/C devices. Following most wiring diagrams the consensus is that Terminal 30 is Common, and Terminal 87 is the N/O contact. We’ve designed these with pulsed loads of up to 50A, and continuous loads of 20A.

These will disable relay output power at 5°C to protect supplementary devices until a warmer temperature is sensed.
