This is, for all intents and purposes, a brand new roof flap motor for the 939 series Spider; OEM number 71747615. These are repurposed VWAG units, with our WD sensing internals which have been custom-made to match the newer-style flap motors originally produced in 2020. Whilst the geartrain is used from the VWAG units, the positional sensing element of the motor has been custom-manufactured to align with the OEM sensors. With our sensors rated for over a million cycles, we think they’re definitely fit-and-forget!

A single new roof flap motor.

Installation

The original flap motor must be removed, and the new motor installed. The clamshell on the new motor will need clicking together, as they will be shipped loose to aid in installation and orientation of the splined output gear. Please note that this product is only offered for pickup in person and not delivered.
